About the event
Spring into Spring Jumps are amazing for coordination, stability and activation of muscles. They are great for bone density around the hip area. Putting healthy stress on the bones. Jumps improve your stamina and anaerobic fitness (short bursts of activity- such as jumps at the end of class or a HIIT class) The prep from a jump, take off and landing (no matter your age) is SUPER important. Starting off in a correctly placed Plie. Such as Knees over toes and back straight. During take off your legs should be super straight and muscles activated In landing it’s vital to go through your feet as your body will absorb the shock. This is done by landing softly and in a proper demi plié and little to no noise. Types of Jumps ◦ You can go from two feet jump and landing on two feet (Sauté). ◦ Jump from one foot and landing on the same foot (Temps Levé). ◦ Jump from one foot to another (Jeté). ◦ Jump from one foot and landing the same time on two feet (Assemblé) ◦ Jump from two feet and landing on one (Sissonné)
